Enterprise was easy to find at this location but it's a hike from the desk to the cars. I made the reservation over a week prior and asked for a sedan like a Nissan Altima. When we arrived, a rather smart-ass agent told me the only thing he had was a BMW something-or-other that he'd give me for the same price. It turned out to be a 2-door sport coupe with a retractable top which eliminated the trunk space except enough for one suitcase. We had two. Getting the front seat to lean forward enough to heft the remaining suitcase into the back seat was a mystery that I tried to solve for about 15 minutes and after two calls back to the desk for help and getting none, I finally found one of their agents checking in other cars and after several minutes he found the secret latch disguised as a piece of trim on the corner of the front seat. The car itself was a maze of automatic features, indecipherable controls, etc. and I'm sure would have been fun when I was 20 but I'm 75 now and not impressed by gadgetry. We finally figured out enough of it to get by. The car handled as nice as any of the British sports cars I owned years ago, would go as fast as anyone wants it to, and is more uncomfortable to sit in for more than 20 minutes than a jagged rock. This was a New York licensed car and I'm pretty sure they just wanted to get it back there and I was dropping it in Boston. Yes, I'll rent from Enterprise again but I'll be a lot more demanding.
Quick check-in, easy retrieval (at terminal) and friendly staff but only complaint is car seat rental. I never have an issue with Enterprise but this is first we traveled with our daughter and debated baggage fee v rental fee we so we went rental for car seat. Choices were slim for 'high-back' seats, none looked newer than early 2000's and none had "LATCH" option for install - I'd expect better/safer/newer child seats to be available - live and learn.
Great overall experience. We forgot the rental agreement at the counter, which serves as your registration, and the agent ran all the way to the parking garage to bring it to us! Outstanding service!!
I reserved a specialty car for my visit to
Burlington, VT. When I arrived I had more luggage than planned
for and it would not fit into the vehicle I had rented. The agent who handled my rental came up with a number of options that fit my needs very quickly. I chose a BMW SUV(M-3) that was a great vehicle and was a surprise and delight to drive. Thanks Enterprise for adding to the fun I had on my vacation and being flexible with my reservation.
The folks at Enterprise are always courteous, polite and professional. This was no different for our recent visit to Vermont and the professionals at the Enterprise rental counter at the Burlington Airport. Getting our rental vehicle was easy, fast and informative. Directions to the car rental lot was concise and the vehicle was pristine. Upon check- in, the counter was very busy at Enterprise and all agents were assiting other customers however; an agent from the adjacent counter, National, saw we were in line and immediately came around their counter and met us and informed us that she could assist us checking in our vehicle. I had all the appropriate information for check-in and we were on our way in less than 2 minutes. Simply outstanding!
